Stand On My Own

DearJames,

I feel as if I’ve stayed in my marriage longer than I should have because I was afraid to stand on my own. After reconnecting with an old love, who is now out of the picture, I feel like I’m ready to leave. Am I just running away? Should I wait until I have a clearer idea of where I’m going? Where will my career path begin?

Cara

Dear Stand On My Own,

Everywhere you go there YOU are.

This timeless statement accurately identifies oneself as the sole bearer of accountability and responsibility in life.

It also makes clear that when you deny the truth of self-accountability, and responsibility, that same flawed aspect of oneself will continue no matter where you are or whom you’re with.

Moving on in life is fine when you recognize it is you who needs soul searching, development, growth, and forgiveness.

Forgiveness for not having the courage to honor yourself and others sooner.

Soul Searching to remedy the reason you stayed and then strayed.

Growth so you take with you the lessons learned from your previous choices.

Development of your ego-mind-personality so your present and future experiences rest upon a solid foundation of self-respect, self-value, courage, knowing, and faith.

Knowing and trusting yourself to make the best and right choices even when facing challenging or fearful circumstances affords you the highest form of experience and self-expression.

Only by denial, ignorance, or willful subterfuge, do you perpetuate a recurring harm against yourself and others.

While it is indeed time to leave it is not time to find another worthy companion.

This time calls for profound reflection, introspection, and healing.

Then, no matter where you go, the new, improved, and enlightened you will be present.

And that will surely make for greater companionship, life moments and memories, both for yourself and others.

Make these life adjustments and alignments now and watch how your world, life, career, and relationships all improve for the better.

Reconnect to, exercise, hone and strengthen your soul-source connection, as it is the one constant relationship you will have your entire life.

It really is all about Standing On Your Own and shouldn’t you be the best possible YOU, you can possibly be?
