In This Business

DearJames,

I would love to check if I will succeed in this business so that I can clear my family debt soon.

James

Dear In This Business,

The long and short of it is this: In the long run, yes. In the short run, no.

Misaligned goals are currently at odds with everyone’s intentions. There seem to be too many cooks in the kitchen and not enough boots on the ground to reap the type of immediate rewards you seek. You appear to be running in one direction, while your wife, kids, and others appear to be going in another.

There’s more to success than simply faith.

No doubt, faith will get you far, however, every well-oiled machine runs smoothly and efficiently due to the synchronized unity of its components and the integrity of its offerings and service. You need a lot more of something to get and keep this baby off the ground. Continue burning the midnight oil in pursuit of this goal, dream, and desire, ensuring you adjust along the way.

Adaptability is key!

Making consistent headway, even when the headwinds appear to be blowing against you, WILL deliver you and your family safely to the destination of your desires. It’s just going to take you longer than you had hoped to get there. You’re in this for the long haul, so see that as your founding principal, guide, and strategy.

Being “In It to Win It,” is more than a catch phrase, it is foundational. It is a means by which you may hold your own feet to the fire. No shortage of courage, sacrifice, or determination will do. Passing fancies and fly-by-night efforts are exactly that: passing, fleeting, fancies.

Play the long game, and the rest will certainly follow.
