DearJames,
I am a 52-year old mother of four, grandmother of four, and cancer survivor. My entire adult life has been full of financial struggles, foreclosure, and bankruptcy. I have always been in my sister’s shadow, never having any self-confidence or self-worth. I have had anxiety issues and panic attacks since a very young age.
I have been divorced twice. I had to move back in with my mother at the age of 50 with my kids, due to a cancer diagnosis. I am back on my own two feet again, but it is still a daily financial struggle.
I have discovered Reiki, chakras, EFT, and the law of attraction. Am I wrong to have faith that at this stage in my life it is possible that things will change, and I can have the life I have only dreamt about? I want to believe that it is possible. I listen to motivational audio books every day and night.
I want to make a difference in the world and be able to help the causes I believe in. I want to feel that I am worth something and not a failure. I want to prove to my family that I am not the failure I feel like I am in there eyes. Am I only fooling myself or will it happen for me?

Dear Am I Wrong To Have Faith,
You are a blessed gift from God. And every moment that you Walk in Faith is a moment lived in Grace.
Faith is a deep-seated knowingness, trust, and belief in something even when tangible proof may be elusive. Beyond religion, faith is innate, intrinsic, and eternal. Faith is Love personified.
Faith represents the love that you are and hold within, even, and especially when existential circumstances tell you otherwise. You need not prove your value or worth to anyone. It is only your beliefs and acceptance of what you believe others believe that needs changing. The more you realize your innate value, the less you will seek the validation of others or the need to prove it to them.
Self-value and self-worth are priceless. Currency created through recognition of one’s soul that need not be publicly paraded or proven to exist. Paradoxically, the more they are quietly held within, the more powerful they become.
Continue your journey of self-discovery, self-empowerment, and self-love as each form the building blocks upon which each new moment is built. Surrender your old beliefs as you make room for new ones. Evolution is an ever-changing, ascending spiral where there is no beginning or end. Being fluid not fixed accelerates your advance.
Accept and embrace the life you’ve only dreamt of. Hold fast to your dreams. Live them daily, if only in your mind’s eye. Make room for new ones. For once you dare speak them into existence and move yourself to act upon them, do they finally manifest into reality; the reality you co-created.
This same holds true for all your life experiences, past, present, and future. It is, was, and always will be your thoughts, beliefs, actions, inactions, desires, and intentions that creates your present reality. Align your thoughts, intentions, and choices with the reality you wish to create and experience, and then live them with all your Being.
Soon enough you will see that all that you desire is absolutely possible. You just have to believe, have faith, and be willing to see it through. May Faith, Love, and Belief in Yourself guide you ever onward.
