The long and short of both your questions is No: Yes.

No, you should NOT take this job promotion, as it is fraught with unforeseen disasters, delays, and all things life consuming.

The “powers that be” are not being completely upfront and honest with you and others surrounding the viability and sustainability of the overall company and this particular division or operation as a whole.

Ultimately you need to move on to greener pastures where your true talents and passions are put to the test.  Like every great challenge, when you love what you do, the challenge becomes effortless, and when you hate it, it’s the equivalent of attempting to tread quicksand.

If you’ve already accepted the promotion, then I would venture to say that the realty of your decision is beginning to make its presence known.  And if that’s the case, it’s in part because you talked yourself into taking this position / promotion for all the wrong reasons.

Thankfully, regardless of whether you took it or declined it, the time is ripe for a move.  I sense your “soulmate” has or will be talking to you about a great career opportunity that will most likely require “you” to relocate.

How refreshing that will be for both of you.

By now you should have also surmised that YES, this is THE man for you.  He is patient, loving, goal oriented, masculine yet metro, with a keen interest in music, the arts, and all things sports.

While he can be distant at times or aloof, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you.  He’s meant to be that way, so you build more self-confidence, thus transcending your hidden and oft times not-so-hidden insecurities.

In any event, bells will be ringing, and your lives together will begin in earnest once you have released the past and arrived at your collective future.
