REDEMPTION

MEANING
“The act of saving, freeing, or buying back something or someone from a state of debt, sin, or evil. It comes from a Latin word meaning “to buy back” or “to ransom. Regaining or restoring something that was lost.”

SPIRITUALLY
“Redemption means being saved, rescued, or bought back from a state of sin, guilt, or spiritual death. It is the process of being restored to a right relationship with the Divine and freed from the power of darkness, often through an act of divine grace or a supreme sacrifice.

It includes moving from spiritual slavery or bondage into freedom, recovering what was lost through a ransom or substitutionary act, returning to your rightful place with the Divine, and clearing past moral debts and guilt through mercy.
