Break These Patterns
- MONEY/DEBT/FINANCES
- WORK/EMPLOYMENT/CAREER
- LIFE DIRECTION/PURPOSE
DearJames,
I’ve recently recognized what on the surface appears to be laziness, about work. I just don’t want to work a crappy unfulfilling job anymore. If I’m really honest, I don’t want to work period, however, I’m a single mom with no support, no money in the bank, and poor credit. I recognize a lot of childhood issues about how I was raised, work ethic, no fun, money is a necessary evil that we will never have enough of, etc. How can I break these patterns, have happiness, and freedom, and not pass on my issues to my son?!
Monica
Dear Break These Patterns,
Half the battle they say is in knowing what ails you.
Congratulations on not only having the insight you require but also the wherewithal to want to change it before you burden your son with this downward spiral cycle.
At play here is a deeply rooted belief system that is counter to everything the Universe stands for and affords, ABUNDANCE.
Change your perceptions and the things you look at change.
It’s a simple philosophy and one worth embracing, continually.
Once you’ve practiced the principles long enough, your newfound way of thinking, feeling, and seeing the Universe, will become crystal clear.
Dead end, minimally paying jobs may be prevalent, however, you need not be one who participates in the perpetuation of such a beast.
By invoking and following your passions, you open yourself to seeking and finding employment in fields or venues of great synergistic appeal.
On average we spend the greater of our waking hours, working. Shouldn’t you love what you do in life?
And the excuse that you can’t earn a decent or better living doing something you love is a copout.
There are ways to earnestly earn a living by engaging your soul in activities that resonate strongly with your inner purpose, ideals, and desires.
And this isn’t airy-fairy woo woo, it’s truth and wisdom at its finest.
By choosing to abandon principals that you know do not serve you or your son well, you choose to break the victimhood mentality you were taught and have operated within up to this point in your life.
The Universe provides, with no judgment, an abundance of that which you seek – place into the world, be it “positive” or “negative.”
It’s all divine and neutral on the other side of the cosmic veil.
When you present a belief system of “life is unfair” or “you can never make a decent living doing what you love” or “money is a necessary evil that you’ll never have enough of,” that’s exactly what you get more of, a negative belief system and all it has to offer: lack, limitation, doubt, frustration, fear, anger, resentment, the list goes on.
Break that belief system by believing in its opposite, ABUNDANCE!
Just like a camel in the Sahara Desert, you like it innately have all you need to not only survive but thrive within you.
Be willing to be divinely guided and inspired to make the journey successfully.
Give it a shot. I bet your son will be pleased and proud you did.
