All Hallows' Eve
“The night before the traditional night of Samhain, became known as “All Hallows’ Eve,” which eventually became Halloween.
The spiritual meaning of Halloween is rooted in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, a time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead was believed to be thin. It is a period of reflection on the cycle of life and death, honoring ancestors, and confronting fears. While modern celebrations often focus on costumes and candy, many spiritual paths still connect the holiday to themes of transformation, the changing seasons, and the supernatural.
Samhain marked the end of the harvest season and the start of the dark, cold winter, symbolizing the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.
Today, the season can be seen as a time for reflection, releasing what has passed, and welcoming transformation.”
