Inward Journey

DearJames,

I have had a multitude of life experiences which include introduction and or initiate action into several types of religious thinking belief systems and/or organized religion. I guess my question to moving forward would be; I am NOT drawn to any one particular community or belief system, however, I feel like somethings missing by not being a part of a spiritual community. What are your suggestions on plugging in and taking my spiritual journey on an inward journey? I’ve had some pretty amazing Jesus experiences: he stands out the most for me. However, I believe that there are many masters and many paths to consciousness and spirituality so in a sense I have a bit of a tug of war going on inside. Any insight you could provide me would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, a lot of my personal relationships are at a crossroads as well. I absolutely enjoyed your website!!!

Dear Inward Journey,

Life truly is a banquet and you are meant to quench your thirst.

Strict adherence to any one modality denies you the innate freedom of experience and expression.  To take the best of all religions, so as to arrive at your own truth: is a noble and educated act.

Throughout the course of time, man has routinely fought and killed in the name of God / religion, in an attempt to rule or control THE word of God.  However, that is simply a losing battle: for one fights against him/her self.

God is in all things and cannot be extracted from it.  Even in its absence, its existence is proven, for nothing is something.

The point I am making here is that you need not throw any baby out with the bath water.

Instead, find comfort and solace in your pursuit of divining truth, knowledge and understanding of God, spirituality and religion by utilizing and embracing the many facets of religion that speak to you as a whole.

Some will certainly call this practice blasphemous, others an abomination, a direct attack on God and the sanctity of religion as a whole, for their belief in one teaching is so absolute, they have not the capacity, will, or space within to allow and accept a differing facet of God and his teachings.

Their path is fixed, however yours need not be.

There are approximately 6,500 spoken languages and 4,200 “religions” in the world today, some with only a handful of practitioners.  Does that prove or disprove the multi-faceted face of God and all his flock?  I’ll leave that up to you and all the readers to decide, for the answer within you was instantaneous no matter the answer.

Go forth with grace and confidence, offering allowances not only to others, but also to yourself.  No bird demonstrates its full grace, power, and beauty when encompassed in a cage, no matter how gilded, ornate, and beautiful.

You are at the precipice of discovering your true identity, man / woman’s purpose, the underlying message to all humanity, and the grace by which you live and achieve it.

Do not stop short by being handicapped, confused, limited, or distracted, rather, seek to persevere so as to journey inward on your most personal inward experience.

God and all the Universe will be there no matter the language(s) spoken, or the religion(s) exercised.
