Arizona By Friday

DearJames,

I have filed an SSDI claim. They have scheduled an appointment for me on Friday 8/15/14. My husband and I had to move to California last week after he lost his job, to live with his mother. I have to get back to Arizona by Friday for the appointment or they’ll deny my claim. I have no money for a bus ticket, nor do I have a car or any other means of transportation. I have no one to borrow the money from before then, so will I somehow be able to get there?

Dear Arizona By Friday,

No, you will not make it to Arizona by Friday, nor were you meant to.

This was an ill-conceived plan and claim.  A game of deceit that could have gone terribly, terribly wrong, landing you in real hardship for a very long time to come.

The loss of your husband’s job, the immediate move to California, and the inability to return was all orchestrated by the Universe to keep you from making one of the most damning mistakes of your life.

Certain actions, once taken, are irreversible, and carry with them great penalty.

People often don’t think of the penalties or of getting caught, only the upside potential of their ill-advised plan.

Make no mistake about it, you are and were being given a second chance.

A chance to choose better, choose differently.  A chance to gather your senses to move forward in a more positive and abundant fashion.

Be thankful for the roadblocks as they kept you from the cellblocks.

Going forward, be mindful of the true outcomes and consequences of your actions, not just the perceived benefits derived from deceitful, rose-colored glasses.

Make a fresh start for yourselves in California by leaving the past behind you, FOR GOOD.

Third chances are highly rare. Fourth chances, downright unheard of. Second chances however, life altering.

Make your new beginning worthy of the time it takes to manifest such an honor.

In the end, you’ll look back and realize you saved yourself that fateful day in August 2014.
